‘Palantir Powers ICE’: Climate Libs Arrested After Blocking Office Entrance

New York police arrested six demonstrators on Thursday morning after training a human chain outside the headquarters of Palantir Technologies in Manhattan, rumbling access to the hall.
Planet over Profit, the collective of climate and private life that organized the demonstration, said that activists have linked arms to avenue of the Americas to protest the data exploration company for “Powering Ice” while they stop the “New York,” wrote the group on X. “We are disturbing Palant’s affairs as usual because IA production that makes fascism stronger and more efficient does not belong to New York,” said demonstrator Caroline Chouinard to a journalist from the Guardian moments before being arrested with five others.

The police broke up the blockade after about an hour, with the six people arrested released with summons before noon, reported the point of sale.
Neither the New York Police Service (NYPD) nor Palantant responded to requests for comments.
The demonstration is part of an ocean campaign to another against the company based on Peter Thiel, including the software ingests personal data for customers mainly from the government. The organizers plan a second rally outside the Palo Alto campus to Palantir later Thursday.
Planet Over Profit also did not respond to a request for comments.
Opponents say that the last $ 30 million contract of the company with ICE – awarded in April to build “Immigrationos”, a dashboard for real -time monitoring of self -scratches – will accelerate arrests and detention, by resuscitating the surveillance programs launched for the first time under the Obama administration.
The CEO of Palantir, Alex Karp, adopted the growing portfolio of the defense of the company, saying to investors during the call for the results of the first quarter of the company 2025 that it is also “extremely proud” that its engineers are “on the ground” in Israel after the attack on October 7 of Hamas, according to CNBC. Ten Democratic legislators in June warned that the work reported by the cabinet on a “mega -catabase” aggregating the files of the Americans through the agencies could violate the federal privacy law – an assertion that Palant has refuted on X, insisting that this does not exploit such systems or decides in the way the data is used.
“The letter contains disappointing a myriad of false accusations concerning the work of palantants based on unfounded affirmations and previously addressed by the New York Times, alongside a certain number of shocking historical comparisons,” said the X Post.
