Sean McVay shares update on Davante Adams' oblique injury after Rams' win
It was smooth sailing for the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday as they dominated the San Francisco 49ers on the road, 42-26. The only problem? Injury to Davante Adams in the fourth quarter, which caused him to leave the game early.
He was unable to return, drawing the attention of the coaching staff to the sidelines as the Rams continued to run up the score against San Francisco. He was ruled questionable due to a back injury, but Sean McVay clarified what was bothering Adams after the game.
McVay told reporters that Adams is dealing with an oblique injury, but the Rams are hopeful he will be OK. He added that he thought Adams could have come back into the game if the score had been closer, so the team played it safe with a big lead.

Adams was one of the real highlights of this game, catching six passes for 77 yards and a touchdown. He was only targeted eight times, so he was very efficient with his opportunities, again making plays for Matthew Stafford.
The Rams have the Seahawks 7-2 next schedule and they’ll need everyone available against their division rivals. Hopefully Adams will be able to participate in this game next Sunday afternoon.
