Microsoft’s Office apps now have free Copilot Chat features
Microsoft adds the Cat and Copilot Microsoft Copilot free and agents to Office Applications for all professional users of Microsoft 365 today. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and OneNote are all updated with a Copilot Chat sidebar which will help write documents, analyze the spreadsheets, and more without the need for an additional Microsoft 365 co -pilot license.
“The Copilot cat is a secure AI cat on the web – and now it is available in Microsoft 365 applications,” says Seth Patton, Managing Director of Microsoft 365 Copilot Product Marketing. “It is aware of content, which means that it quickly understands what you are working on, adapt the answers to the file you have opened. And it is included without additional costs for users of Microsoft 365.”
Although this free version of Copilot rewrites documents, provides summaries and will help create slides in PowerPoint, $ 30 per month, by user, the Copilot Microsoft 365 license will always have the best integration in Office Applications. The COPILOT Microsoft 365 license is not limited to a single document either and can reason on entire work data.
“Users with a Microsoft 365 COPILOT license have priority access to features such as downloading files and image generation, as well as the latest technologies such as GPT-5, including faster response times and more coherent availability, even during peak periods of use,” explains Patton.
Microsoft previously gathered its co -pilot features fed by AI in office applications for Microsoft 365 consumers earlier this year, but it increased subscription prices at the same time. Microsoft does not make any price adjustment for companies with Copilot Chat added to Office Applications. Microsoft is also preparing to bring together his sales, service and financing co -pilots in the Copilot Microsoft 365 subscription in October, reducing the price of certain companies that rely on the latest Microsoft AI tools.
