Lindsey Graham Calls for Sanctions on Norway After Major BDS Move

Senator Lindsey Graham threatened Thursday to slap the prices in Norway for the decision of his sovereign fund to depart from an American company which would have been an accomplice of Israeli human rights violations in Gaza and in the West Bank.
As part of a Ethics Review Intended to eliminate investments that contribute to Israeli violations of international law, the Norwegian Wealth Fund announced this week that he would exclude the manufacturer of construction equipment Caterpillar. THE Ethical council concluded: “There is no doubt that Caterpillar products are used to commit extensive and systematic violations of international humanitarian law.” Namely, “the bulldozers manufactured by Caterpillar are used by the Israeli authorities in the widespread illegal destruction of Palestinian goods”, noted the Council, as the Boycott, Divesting and Sanctions Movement (BDS) long underlined.
Graham threatened the fund on x Wednesday, writing: “Your BS decision will not remain unanswered.” Thursday, he specified Whether he hopes to “put prices on countries that refuse to do business with large American companies” or to refuse visas for people punishing American companies “for geopolitical differences”.
“For those who direct the sovereign heritage fund of Norway: if you cannot do business with Caterpillar because Israel uses their products, it may be time that you know that doing business or visiting America is a privilege, not a right,” warned Graham.
The intimidation tactic is not surprising of a politician who has proven to be an indisputable cheerleader of the Israeli government in the midst of the atrocities he commits in Palestine. In June, Graham to summarize His approach to foreign policy concerning Israel as follows: “God bless those who bless Israel.” (And the republican senator was blessed abundantly by pro-Israeli lobbying groups, would have up to $ 1 million throughout his political career.)
This is not the first time that Graham has threatened strong sanctions against countries seeking to respect international law.
In November 2024, Graham swore that the countries were facing draconian sanctions If they compared to the International Criminal Court shutdown Against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for war crimes and crimes against humanity. “If you help the ICC, we are going to crush the economy,” said the senator at the time. “Because we are next,” he added. “Why can’t they go after Trump, or any other American president, under this theory?”
