Peach Bowl honors Indiana, Oregon with 2-foot brisket sandwich

Mercedes-Benz Stadium is known for, among other amenities, its cheap concession prices. At the Peach Bowl, however, at least one specialty item will cost a bit more — but the $35 price tag might be worth it.
Paying tribute to the two teams competing in the playoff semifinals, Mercedes-Benz Stadium will debut a new item Friday: the 2-Foot Dueling Brisket Sandwich.
The two halves of the 24-inch sandwich will both contain brisket, but will feature distinctive toppings and flavors honoring Indiana on the left half and Oregon on the right.
The Indiana finish will be topped off with coleslaw, pickled onions, and cherry-bourbon barbecue sauce. Half of the Oregon will have pickles and brown sugar barbecue sauce.
The sandwich’s price, $35, might well exceed that of other sandwiches on concession menus at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, but if a fan cares about the price per inch of food, they might not find a better deal.
