Tottenham boss, Thomas Frank, once again praised the mentality of his players before their first Premier League match on Saturday.

The Spurs face Burnley this weekend with the Danish tactician taking charge of his first national match with the northern London team.

And Frank admitted to having learned a lot about his team after his defeat against Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday.

“One thing is the group’s mentality,” he told a press conference.

“A very strong mentality and we saw it against PSG, the way they worked and their approach. Also the possibility of taking messages and play plans.”

Frank also conceded to have butterflies in front of his stadium arc.

“I will have tomorrow. If I’m honest now, I’m in work mode. I know that I will wake up tomorrow and when I get into the stadium, I will feel it.”

Frank then talked about the racist abuse that Mathys Tel received after the mid -week defeat.

“I think it’s terrible what happened to Mathys. We do everything to support him in this situation. He is a strong person.

“He will have the support of the family and friends as well as we. There is no real supporter of Tottenham who will (abuse). You will see the real supporters of Tottenham at the stadium tomorrow the supporter. I expect great cheers for him tomorrow.”

Finally, the coach spoke of Team News for the match with the Clarets.

“Each player available is available for the team. Destiny is progressing, but it is too early for it to be involved in the team.

“Bissouma was a situation. I approached him, there was a consequence. He will be in the team tomorrow.”
