Brooks Koepka set to learn PGA Tour fate as decision nears

Just weeks after leaving LIV Golf, Brooks Koepka is already considering a return to the PGA Tour in 2026.
Koepka left LIV Golf last month and quickly moved forward with his plans for the future. He has already submitted an application to regain his PGA Tour membership and is now waiting to hear where he will be eligible to play in 2026.

It might make sense for Koepka to compete in some DP World Tour events this year.
Since he was not a member of the DP World Tour when he joined LIV in 2022, there are no outstanding fees against him.
The 35-year-old clearly craves an immediate return to the PGA Tour, and he will soon find out if that dream can come true.

The five-time major winner is eager to return to the PGA Tour.
Some reports suggest that Tiger Woods will have a big influence on whether or not Koepka returns.
Indeed, Woods occupies both the role of director of players on the orientation council and member of the committee for future competitions.

An update has now been provided on the 35-year-old.
On X, Flushing It reports that the PGA Tour’s decision regarding Koepka’s future is imminent.
The golf community remains divided on what should happen next.
Some believe Koepka should not be allowed to return, while others believe bringing him back would be a major blow to LIV Golf.
But this decision could easily play out in several ways.
Brooks Koepka’s return leaves the PGA Tour with a tough decision to make
The decision on whether to allow Brooks Koepka to return to the PGA Tour could have a broader impact, with players like Bryson DeChambeau and Joaquin Niemann potentially considering similar moves if he gets the green light.

It’s also possible that some current PGA Tour players see a future path back as a reason to move to LIV Golf themselves.
On the other hand, making Koepka’s return too difficult could prevent other LIV players, such as DeChambeau, from following him.
Lots of looks at both tours will be closely following how this plays out.
The PGA Tour is in a difficult situation. Whatever decision they make, there will be backlash from one side or the other. This is not an easy position to be in.
