Ask Pixel 10 to be more than it is greedy.

Google’s non -pro pixel is at a price of $ 799, which is significantly less than 999 Pixel 10 Pro. It comes with practical upgrades, such as Qi2 loading with integrated magnets. Its AI features are finally promising. It includes a dedicated telephoto lens for the first time. It is an appropriate flagship product and an easy -to -live Android phone. But if I am greedy, then I have a request: better cameras.

The rear cameras on the Pixel 10 are completely good. For someone who is not picky on the quality of the image, they would be better than well. And maybe I think they were going well too, if I was not cursed to know that the cameras on the model last year are better. And it is because until this year, the non-pro pixel came with the same main and ultra-related camera equipment as the pro. But we cannot have everything, and when Google added this telephoto lens this year, it has downgraded the other two rear cameras to what is in the mid -range pixel 9A. The Pixel 10 therefore has a perfectly fine camera system, as long as you are not too greedy.

$799

Good

  • The Qi2 wireless load with magnets is excellent
  • AI is actually rather useful, finally
  • Telephoto is a nice addition

The bad

  • The main and ultra-reversal cameras are not as good as the pro
  • The battery life is just correct

Apart from the camera situation, Pixel 10 comes with the same major improvements as pro phones this year: a new chip and some magnets. Tensor G5 is the new processor of the 10 series, which I found to execute a little fresher than the previous versions. The G5 is the first personalized Google chipset manufactured by TSMC, and it manages heavier workloads. The regular 10 is delivered with 12 GB of RAM compared to 16 GB in the 10 pro, and I noticed a little more stuttering on dense web pages than on the pro. But for the noprofessional Phone user, he manages most tasks very well.

Google Pixel 10 Specifications

  • G5 tensor chipset with 12 GB of ram | 128 GB or 256 GB of storage
  • 6.3 inches 1080p 60-120Hz OLED
  • 48 Mégpaixels f / 1.7 Main camera | 13 Ultrawide megapixels | 10.8 megapixels 5x telephoto lens | 10.5 megapixel selfie camera
  • 4,970mAh lithium-ion battery
  • Qi2 wireless load up to 15W; Charge of 55% in 30 minutes with a 30W wired charger
  • IP68 Dust and water resistant

There is a lot of AI available on the new chip – which you can know more in my Pixel 10 pro review – and I suspect that it contributes to the lifespan of the Just -Okay battery of the Pixel 10. A full day of moderate use is not a problem, but if you add intensive activities such as a hotspot or a extended game session, you could start looking for a charger in the afternoon. The average person will probably not be disturbed by this, but energy users will want a charger or a feed bank at hand to avoid battery anxiety at the end of the day.

AI is still successful, but successes improve.

AI is still successful, but successes improve. The Pixel 10 does not offer the generator function of camera zoom assisted by AI that the pro and the pro XL have, but you get Magic Cue, which recovers useful information depending on what you do. And it really works. It is only in a handful of Google applications at the moment, but it can help put something on your calendar when you launch plans in the messages or suggest a destination when you open Google Maps depending on something you have saved in your screenshots. I had some more false positives by testing it on the Pixel 10 than with the 10 pro; There were times when it suggested information that was not relevant or proposed to create a calendar event when I told a friend that I would be “there in 30”. I have always found it more useful than not, and it is quite easy to ignore when its suggestions are out of the brand.

The Pixel 10 has won a telephoto lens but has lost a little image quality in the process.

The Pixel 10 A Qi2 with integrated magnets, and it is a delight. No case is required (unlike phones in the Samsung S25 series), and I really appreciated the phone on a bedside table charger at the end of each day. With the addition of what is mainly Magsafe, the Pixel series looks like a fairly complete alternative to the iOS ecosystem these days. Every night, when I put my phone on the charger, triggering the bedtime mode, my pixel watch followed the step and modified modes as well. This is not a new feature, but small moments as it adds up throughout the day.

I spent a week with the Pixel 10 Pro before going to 10, and there is not much which seems radically different on the cheaper model – except the display. The standard 10 is delivered with a 6.3 -inch 1080p screen with up to a 120 Hz cooling rate compared to the 1280p screen on the 10 pro. Its maximum brightness of 3,000 nits is sufficient to keep the phone usable by a sunny day, and 1080p is just a sufficient resolution for a screen of this size. The screen seems more inclined to fall from its 120 Hz refresh price, which is good but a little shocking when you scroll through the Nyt Games application and suddenly watch 60 Hz.

I also noticed a little vignetting when I use the phone in bright light – the darkness on the edges of the screen, as you could see in a photo. This turns out to be a known problem, solved by moving to the “natural” display color profile. Overall, this is a beautiful display, but you certainly get more by spending more on the pro.

Regarding more for more for more with the cameras 10 pro:. The 48 megapixel f / 1.7 main camera of the Pixel 10 does not seem so different from the camera f / 1.7 of 50 megapixels of the 10 pro – until you arrive at the size of the sensor. The regular 10 uses a type 1 / 2.0 inch sensor which represents about half the size of the type 1 / 1.31 inch sensor in Pro models. A larger sensor will produce cleaner images with a better dynamic beach, and this is a difference that I feel, especially in portrait mode. In particular, if the light is low, your subject moves, and if you use the 2x zoom option, the portrait mode on the ordinary 10 is not as good as on the pros. The images show more noise, fine details like the hair is crunchy and the isolation of the subject is not as precise.

A photo in portrait mode with the subject moving to the high -speed camera is about as difficult as you can launch on a phone camera, so it is not too surprising that the Pixel 10 cannot manage it well. But this is a way in which the smaller camera sensor leads to significantly worse performance. Apart from the portraits, the Pixel 10 takes perfectly beautiful photos. Ultrawide – also a smaller sensor than on the pros – manages the interior lighting. The 5X telephoto lens is practical and certainly an upgrade on the use of 5x digital zoom. Maybe a telephoto and a main killer camera are too much to ask in a phone of $ 799, but I will continue to wish both anyway.

I must admit that the blue color is pleasant.

Last year, the Pixel 9 looked like the phone that Android has needed for a long time: something elegant, simple and durable. The Pixel 10 takes this same model and mainly improves it, adding Qi2 and a telephoto lens. The price has remained the same, which is nothing to sneeze when the prices of everything else continue to increase.

Losing the high-end camera may not be a dealbreaker for most people, but it’s a bit difficult to swallow if you know what you are missing. Most people who buy this phone will not be overwhelmed by this knowledge, and I think that the Pixel 10 will make this group perfectly happy.

Agree to continue: Google Pixel 10, 10 pro and 10 pro XL

Each smart device now obliges you to accept a series of terms and conditions before you can use it – contracts that no one really reads. It is impossible for us to read and analyze each of these agreements. But we have started to count exactly how many times you have to strike “agree” to use devices when we examine them because these are the agreements that most people do not read and certainly cannot negotiate.

To use a Pixel 10 Series phone, you must accept:

The following agreements are optional:

  • Provide anonymous location data for Google services
  • “Authorize applications and services to search for Wi-Fi networks and nearby devices at any time, even when Wi-Fi or Bluetooth is disabled.”
  • Send Google use and diagnostic data
  • Talk to Google Hands-Free: “If you agree, Google Assistant will wait in standby mode to detect” Hey Google “and some quick sentences.”
  • Authorize the assistant on the lock screen

In addition, if you want to use Google Assistant, you must agree to allow Google to collect application information and contact information for your devices. Other features such as Google Wallet may require additional agreements.

Final Tallage: five compulsory agreements and at least five optional agreements
