Police searching for 53-year-old hammer assault suspect
COURTESY HPD COURTESY HPD Honolulu police are searching for a 53-year-old man wanted for the alleged assault of two people with a hammer last month.
Police said that around 11 p.m. on October 25, the suspect, Robert Malabey Jr., allegedly attacked a 58-year-old woman and a 52-year-old man inside his residence with a hammer, causing serious injuries.
He is described as 6 feet tall, weighing approximately 240 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes. He also has a tattoo of a scorpion on the upper left corner of his back.
Police said a $100,000 arrest warrant for Malabey has been issued. He is still at large and should be considered armed and dangerous.
Anyone with information on Malabey’s whereabouts or the incident is asked to immediately call 911. Anonymous tips can also be reported to 808-955-8300.
