Florida police issued a warning after a group of minors took part in the “Door Kick Challenge”, a social media trend aimed at frightening the owners.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Bureau said in an article on Facebook that five juvenile suspects were walking in a neighborhood in Riverview, Florida, when two of them approached a house. The officials said that one of the individuals, who wore a ski mask, had kicked the front door and pulled an airsoft pistol.
The minors then fled the area.
The deputies said that the “challenge for kicking door” could turn into a dangerous situation and encouraged parents to speak to their children.

“This kind of content will get likes. It will get comments. It will get shares. It will encourage children to try to imitate it because it is a weight – they gain weight of their peers because of this,” said Jordan. “Any challenge like this, children don’t think:” Is this the right thing to do? Is it sure? “They think:” I want validation “and the children will be killed.
