Jerusalem – Israeli President Isaac Herzog told NPR that his country would host international support in his war to eradicate Iran’s nuclear program, which, according to Israel, was at the threshold for the construction of atomic weapons.

The president – who occupies a largely ceremonial role in Israel – spoke at NPR in his official residence in Jerusalem while President Trump still weighs the intervention, potentially authorizing B -2 bombers with bombs that broke the bombs to remove the most highly fortified nuclear sites in Iran – Israel does not have.

Trump had previously demanded an “unconditional surrender” from Iran, which, according to him, meant: “I got it. Okay, I got it. I give up.

Although Israel has not publicly called on the United States to join its offensive against Iran, Herzog said that the intervention of the “nations” would certainly be welcome.

“There is a greater image here than the American world and the people should understand,” he said, speaking only a few hours before Iran draws another missile dam in Israel, which he did several times since Israel began to attack Iran last Friday.

“We have to stop this Evil Empire – no more! – And to say to them, take out the whores of clouds from your hands. And start behaving decently and not be the rogue state. You are everywhere in the world. It is impossible,” said Herzog.

Iran insisted that its enrichment program is only for civilian purposes, although experts – including the United Nations nuclear guard dog, the IEA – say that it has enriched uranium at levels where it could be ready to burst and produce several warheads.

Israel shared information with the United States before attacking Iran, said Herzog

Herzog said that Israel planned this attack for months, but the decision to make it was taken only a few days ago, after Israel shared with American information which, according to Herzog, showed that Iran’s plans to burst and produce a nuclear weapon.

“I am not saying that we have obtained the approval of the United States, and we did not cooperate, but we have exposed to the Americans the hard information and the evidence that we have,” he said-the first time that an Israeli chief spoke of sharing such intelligence with the United States.

A person familiar with the case said at NPR on condition of anonymity due to the subject’s sensitivity that Israeli officials do not ask the United States to join the war, but that they would be happy for the United States to participate actively and believe that the United States will actually intervene militarily.

This intervention could be vital for the objectives of the War of Israel: only the American army has bunker bombs of 30,000 pounds which could possibly penetrate the defenses of the Fordow nuclear site of Iran, which is built on the side of a mountain, and it is also only the United States which has the plane powerful enough to deliver them.

Israel says that its air strikes, which began last Friday, established the domination of the sky over Tehran and western Iran, where the main nuclear installations are located. Israel and AIEA assess that its attacks have seriously damaged other sites, such as Natanz, but Fordow is the most difficult to destroy.

Herzog also said that war could weaken Iran so much that it could even fall – a collapse which, according to him, could change the face of the region, and could, in his opinion, lead to a war in Gaza, where Israel has fought a Hamas since 2023, when the Palestinian militants supported by Iran launched a surprise attack on the south of Israel.

However, some regional security analysts warn that an American intervention could widen the conflict and cause Iranian strikes on American military bases in the Gulf, as well as oil infrastructure in the Gulf, which could send shock through the world markets.
