- Sub -comity of energy and commerce, trade, manufacturing and trade – look under the hood: the state of NHTSA and the safety of motor vehicles

White house what’s new
President Donald Trump is back from a successful NATO summit. He has a quiet morning according to his official schedule (naturally), but at 4:00 pm, he is ready to participate in “One, Big, beautiful event” in the room is – a little little clear what it will imply. Big Day today – We have opinions from the Supreme Court in progress, with 10 cases to do. (Presumably, they will not all be issued today, but another day of decision has not yet been announced.) We are also waiting to see what the court does in response to the request to clarify its order on Monday in the DVD c. Dhs case.
Upcoming attractions
We will closely monitor, of course, on these decisions of the Supreme Court. Expect that there is also a burst of activity around the major bill and the way the Senate aims to tackle.
Morning reflection
The objective of the left and, in particular, of the inherited media, for so long, “obtains” Trump that they never seemed “to get” Trump. By that, I mean that they still do not seem to understand the way it works, even if it is not terribly complicated: it is a manufacturer. He is a competitor. He wants to win, and that, for him, looks like a strong and prosperous America. (It is a credit for him and an advantage for the nation.)
I spent a lot of time, at the start of Trump’s political career, underestimating him and assuming the worst of him. I finally understood that I did not understand it and I readjusted my point of view. This does not mean that I think he cannot hurt or that I agree with everything he does and says. But I watched it long enough and I saw enough to know: we should let it cook.
