Pritzker warns Trump planning send national guard to Chicago as border patrol there shoots woman | Chicago

Illinois Governor JB Pritzker announced that Donald Trump was planning to unite 300 national guard troops in the state at the same time as agents of the American border patrol would have shot a woman in Chicago in the midst of an aggressive operation of immigration and militarized application in the city.
Pritzker, a democrat, revealed the president’s intention to deploy troops despite the fact that the governor is firmly opposed to this decision.
“This morning, the Ministry of War of the Trump Administration gave me an ultimatum: call your troops, or we will,” said Pritzker in a statement. “It is absolutely scandalous and non -American to demand that a governor send military troops within our own borders and against our will.”
He added: “They will withdraw the Americans who work hard from their regular job and far from their family to participate in manufactured performance – not a serious effort, public security protected. For Donald Trump, this has never been a matter of security. This is control.
“This request follows unprecedented attacks on citizens and residents of Illinois.”
Trump’s plan to deploy troops arises as well as a serious repression against ice immigration occurs in Chicago, the operation being encountered by fierce indignation on the part of local civic groups and the opposition by local Democrats.
The exact circumstances of the Saturday morning shooting incident and the health of the woman remain vague.
Tricia McLaughlin, spokesperson for the Ministry of Internal Security, told Chicago Sun-Totes that the shooting had taken place after patrol agents said they felt threatened by the approach of vehicles and that the gunshots had been “defensive”.
In a statement, DHS said that the woman was appointed to a customs and border protection intelligence bulletin last week for allegedly doxing agents and published threats against online ICE. The name of the woman was not published by the agency and also has no details to corroborate these claims.
The press release added that no agent had been injured during the incident.
The shooting comes after the federal immigration agents last month killed and killed a Mexican immigrant in a suburb of Chicago after pretending to run away from a traffic stop and struck an officer with his car.
Chicago is one of the major American cities if Donald Trump has deployed or threatened to deploy the National Guard and other troops to help police officer repression of immigration – or, in some cases, to respond to swollen allegations on crime levels.
After promoting the newsletter
Kristi Noem, secretary to internal security, and Gregory Bovino, head of the border patrol sector, visited the installation of BroadView Ice on Friday in the suburbs of Chicago, which became the climbing site of federal agents against demonstrators and journalists.
Noem promised on social networks on Saturday afternoon to send additional troops to Chicago: “I deploy more special operations to control the scene. Reinforcements are on the way. If you see an agent of the police today, thank them. ”
The Trump administration has targeted Chicago with federal police from August, wrongly affirming that there had been an increase in crime in the city in recent years.
Since then, there have been reports on the application of increasingly aggressive ice in communities, including helicopters hovering over the raids of apartments and arrests of local officials and candidates for functions that protest against operations.
Trump has also repeatedly deployed the national guard troops in the United States cities, from Los Angeles to Washington DC, despite the federal law generally prohibiting the use of soldiers for the application of national laws. The continuous model of military occupations on American soil has aroused many concerns about the politicization of the American army.
