Private lunar lander Blue Ghost lands on the moon with equipment for NASA
A private lunar lunar carrying an exercise, a vacuum cleaner and other equipment to be delivered for NASA tackled the moon on Sunday, the last of several companies seeking to launch affairs on the natural satellite of the earth before astronaut missions.
The Blue Ghost Lander of Firefly Aerospace got off the lunar orbit on the automatic pilot, targeting the slopes of an old volcanic dome in an impact basin on the northeast edge of the moon on the nearby side.
Control of the company’s mission, located outside Austin, Texas, has confirmed a successful landing.

“You have all stuck the landing. We are on the Moon,” said Coogan, Firefly chief engineer.
A right and stable landing made Firefly the first private enterprise to put a spacecraft on the moon without crashing or falling. Some governments working on space flight have failed in the past because only five countries – Russia, the United States, China, India and Japan – have succeeded.

Blue Ghost, which was appointed from a rare American Firefly species, is a 6 -foot and 11 -foot -wide four -legged four -legged, offering additional stability, depending on the company.
About half an hour after landing, Blue Ghost began to return photos of the surface. The first image was a selfie somewhat obscured by the glare of the sun.
