LG’s Evo W6 Wallpaper TV is thin and wireless to win

LG is bringing back its ultra-thin smart TV, this time in the form of the Evo W6 Wireless Wallpaper TV. The big difference compared to the old W9 Wallpaper OLED TV? Wallpaper Design 2026 now features true wireless connectivity.
The LG Evo W6 also features Hyper Radiant Color technology, which is said to improve blacks (really? LG OLEDs are already famous for their blacks), color and brightness, up to 3.9 times brighter than regular OLEDs. We assume “conventional” includes LG’s own devices; maybe not.
LG is also touting an improved screen coating that’s supposed to preserve those hard-earned picture improvements across a wider range of ambient lighting conditions.

The LG OLED Evo W6 Wallpaper TV has an incredibly slim profile.

LG’s third-generation Alpha 11 AI processor powers the Evo W6, along with all of its AI video and audio features, promising a five-fold improvement in neural processing according to the company. It is said to be capable of running two separate algorithms simultaneously, each correcting and optimizing the results of the other. Theoretically, this should produce better results with fewer artifacts.
The LG Evo W6 Wallpaper TV can access the same art library as LG’s Gallery TV, with a Gallery mode that promises to optimize color and brightness to best replicate the visual texture of physical art. LG’s WebOS Smart TV software is also integrated, with Voice ID technology that can recognize a user’s voice and present their personalized home screen on demand.
If you like to game on your TV, it offers 4K UHD resolution with a 165Hz refresh rate. Nvidia’s G-Sync and AMD’s Free Premium are also supported to prevent image tearing.
Whatever the end result of the hype, the Evo W6 promises to blend into its surroundings much better than the average OLED – at a premium price no doubt. We estimate it to be tens of thousands of dollars.
