Trump’s Deputies Freeze Child Care Payments to Minnesota amid Alleged Somali Fraud

President Donald Trump’s aides are freezing federal payments to Minnesota child care companies as evidence mounts of massive fraud at Somali child care centers.
“We are committed to holding bad actors accountable, regardless of rank or function,” said an X-rated video from Jim O’Neil, deputy secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). “Anyone involved in this fraud against the American people should expect to be prosecuted.”
Minnesota’s freeze is also intended to pressure other states to audit fraud in their federally funded services — particularly within ethnic enclaves created by long-standing federal mass migration policy.
The freeze is politically powerful because it will force legitimate state operators to demand that the state investigate the apparently massive fraud committed by Somali operators. The fraud is obviously hidden by the imported, selfish and clannish Somalis. culture of “amoral familism”, very different from American-style citizenship, which emphasizes reciprocal rights and duties in a shared society.
The fraud has been quietly profiled in numerous media outlets over the past few years. However, Democrats hid the public acknowledgment of massive fraud by their political allies until last week, when independent journalist Nick Shirley published a series of videos of men on the street showing empty daycare centers.
O’Neil said:
Intrepid journalists have come forward with shocking and credible allegations of massive fraud in Minnesota’s child care programs. We believe the state of Minnesota has allowed fraudsters and fake daycares to siphon millions of taxpayer dollars over the past decade.
Alex Abrams, deputy secretary of the Administration for Children and Families, weighed in:
My office, ACF, provides Minnesota with $185 million in child care funds each year. This money is expected to help 19,000 American children, including toddlers and infants. All the dollars stolen by the scammers are stolen from these children. Yesterday I spoke directly with the Director of the Minnesota Office of Child Care. She couldn’t tell me for sure whether these fraud allegations are isolated or whether the fraud is statewide.
O’Neil continued:
Today we took three direct actions against the blatant fraud that appears to be rampant in Minnesota. First, I activated our Defend the Spend service [accounting] system for all ACF child care payments across America. Starting today, we require a supporting receipt for photographic proof before making a payment. Second, I just signed and sent a letter of demand to the governor [Tim] Waltz. I needed a full 360 [degree] review of these centers. This includes attendance records, licensing, complaints, investigations and inspections.
“ACF expects every state to meet the highest standards of oversight, control and accountability for federal dollars – Minnesota is no exception,” Abrams added.
