Putin deploys nuclear bombers in ‘WW3 war games’ | News World
Vladimir Putin deployed his formidable TU-22M3 strategic nuclear bombers as part of new massive war games.
Russia and Bélarus organize a major military exercise on the doorstep of NATO at a time of increased tension with the Western alliance.
The “Zapad” – which means “West” – exercises involve troops which fight on a simulated attack against the two countries, whose alliance is known as the State of the Union, then “crush” the enemy.
New images show the long -speaking strategic bombardier with a hit on a simulated enemy, “disturbing the control system and destroying critical objects”.
Elsewhere, MIG-31 Russian fighter planes equipped with hypersonic kinzhaux ballistic missiles ended a four-hour flight on the neutral waters of the Barents Sea, reports the Interfax news agency.
Kinzhal, “dagger” in Russian, is a hypersonic ballistic missile launched from the air capable of transporting nuclear or conventional warheads.
Russia has already used weapons against Ukraine.
Troops also unravel the use of nuclear missiles since the Western Porte in the Porte de l’Ouire in Bélarus, in the midst of the preparations for the deployment of Oreshnik “Super-Arme”.
Bélarus borders three members of NATO – Poland, Lithuania and Latvia – to the west and in Ukraine in the South.
The exercises have also seen a dozen warships in the Putin Baltic Sea fleet engaged in exercises with SU-30SM and Su-24m aircraft and mid-8 helicopters, against a simulated enemy.
The exercises involved large landing vessels, corvettes, small missiles and anti-submarine ships, dredgers of mines, missiles, submarines, was reported.
Russia has been organizing Zapad exercises approximately every four years since 1999.
The last series of exercises took place in September 2021, five months before the large -scale invasion of Ukraine by Russia, which it launched in part from Belarusian territory.
War games intervene after Russia stole attack drones in a Polish airspace which had to be shot by alliance fighters.
Poland has closed its border with Belarus while the United Nations Security Council was warned of the disastrous risk of a new world war, because the alliance was forced to strengthen its oriental defenses urgently.
The permanent representative of Ukraine with the UN Andriy Melnyk warned that if Putin’s escalation is not interrupted “Tomorrow, it could be drones or even missiles falling on Berlin, Paris or London”.
“And the next day, who knows, something could even” accidentally “cross the Atlantic,” he added.
“Russia does not make fun of this advice. It spits you in your face.
“We are looking at the abyss of a third world war.”
Meanwhile, Putin underlined her lack of interest in a regulation in the war with her spokesperson, reporting that peace negotiations with Ukraine were now in “ Pause ”.
Neither Poland nor NATO have yet given a full account of what they suspect that drones were doing.
NATO also faces questions about the question of whether foreign drones should even be able to enter its airspace and how well it is well equipped to deal with such threats.
