FBI personnel were told to flag Epstein files mentioning Trump, Senate Democrat says

Washington – The Senate Democrat whip, Dick Durbin, D -ill., Press the Ministry of Justice on their processing of files related to the Federal Investigation over the late Jeffrey Epstein, including reports that FBI staff were invited to “report” all the files that mentioned President Donald Trump.
In A Series of Oversight Letters Written to Attorney General Pam Bondi, FBI Director Kash Patel and FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino, Durbin Questioned Bondi About “contradictions” in her public statements on the case, patel about reports that he was “pressured” by bondi to place 1,000 personnel Mine Roughly 100,000 Epstein-Related Records and Bongino about Reports AMONG TRUMP TRUMPALS ABOUT “The lack of transparency” in their handling of high level cases.
In the letters sent on Friday, Durbin, the best democrat of the Senate judicial committee, asked each of the Trump administration officials to respond to the information Received by his office who suggested that FBI staff were specifically invited to “report” any file mentioning Trump.
“My office was informed that these staff members were invited to” report “any file in which President Trump was mentioned. … why was the staff invited to report the files in which President Trump was mentioned: “Durbin asked Bondi, Patel and Bongino in distinct letters.” What happened to the files mentioning President Trump once they were reported? “”
An assistant from Durbin told NBC News that the senator’s office had received this information from a protected FBI denunciation.

The letters mark the last attempt of the Democrats to keep attention to Epstein more than a week after the Ministry of Justice published a memo describing the decision to stop additional disclosure linked to the investigation. The memo turned the Maga’s base of Trump, creating a rare break among Trump and the far right base which pushed it to power – a flaw that democratic legislators have aimed to expand.
In the aftermath of the service note from the Ministry of Justice, Bondi faced a partly flame return due to the previous public statements which it pointed out to the existence of thousands of additional documents related to Epstein, including an alleged “customer list”.
Durbin, like many Trump supporters in last week, asked the Attorney General to reconcile his previous public statements with the conclusion of his department according to which “no other disclosure” is justified in the case and that an examination of the files “revealed any list of incriminating customers”.
“Why did you say publicly on February 21 that the list of customers was” sitting on my desk at the moment to review? “” Asked Durbin to Bondi. “If it was not a list of customers, what was” sitting on your desk “at that time?”
Bongino and Patel were also confronted with online backlash. Both previously promoted conspiracy theories that suggested that the Epstein affair was part of government concealment to protect the powerful political actors involved in a child’s abuse cycle.
Patel, in the only article he has done on his personal account on social networks since the release of the memo of the Ministry of Justice, said “conspiracy theories are simply not true” and “have never been”. Durbin, aimed at drawing attention to the past suggestions of a concealment, asked the director of the FBI to detail the theories of the conspiracy to which he referred in his post.
“What are the theories of the conspiracy to which you refer in your July 12 tweet that” has never been true? “If there is more than one, please explain everyone in detail:” The senator wrote to the Patel.
NBC News previously reported that Bongino was “without furious control”, had jumped a working day and planned to resign from his post due to the treatment by the Ministry of Justice of Epstein files, a subject on which Durbin questioned the former political commentator.
“What was the nature of the dispute between you and the managers of the White House and the MJ after the release of the Memorandum of July 7,” Durbino in Bongino asked. “Is this dispute between you and the managers of the White House and the MJ is the reason for your July 11 absence of work?”
Durbin also questioned Trump officials on Wall Street Journal’s reports that alleged that Trump wrote a letter to Epstein in 2003, accompanied by a drawing of a naked woman, which was included in a birthday album linked to leather gifted in Epstein for her 50th anniversary, according to documents examined by the newspaper.
Trump denied having written the letter and he filed a complaint against the newspaper for having published the story. NBC News has not independently confirmed the newspaper report.
A spokesperson for Dow Jones, the publisher of the newspaper, said in a statement: “We have fully confidence in the rigor and accuracy of our reports, and we will vigorously defend against any trial.”
“The staff examined any correspondence between President Trump and Mr. Epstein, including a letter in the album” Linked to leather “reported as part of this year’s review [of Epstein records]? “Asked Durbin.
A few hours after the newspaper reports, Trump ordered Bondi on Thursday to “produce all the relevant testimonies of the Grand Jury” linked to Epstein “, subject to the approval of the court”. Friday, Bondi filed a request asking to disappoint the transcriptions of the great jury linked to the Epstein affair.
“Given the public interest in the investigation works carried out by the Ministry of Justice and the Federal Bureau of Investigation on Epstein, the Ministry of Justice issued the court to descend the underlying transcriptions of the Grand Jury in the United States c. Epstein, subject to the appropriate reductions of the victim and other personal identification information, “said the document.
