Racist videos made with AI are going viral on TikTok
Racist videos that seem to be created with the Google VEO 3 videos generation tool have raised millions of views through Tiktok, according to the results of Watchdog Media Watchdog Media. The videos generated by the organization by the organization are filled with racist tropes, many of which target blacks.
Media Matters determined that the videos – one of which received 14.2 million views – were generated with Google Veo 3 due to the “Veo” watermark in the corner of the clips. Tiktok’s rules also indicate that “hatred speech and hateful behavior have no place on Tiktok” and that the platform “will not recommend content that contains negative stereotypes on a person or group with a protected attribute”.
“We proactively apply robust rules against speech and hateful behavior and have deleted the accounts that we have identified in the report, many of which have already been prohibited before the reporting of the report,” said Tiktok spokesperson Ariane de Selliers, in a press release The penis.
