Raiders’ Ashton Jeanty Drops Strong Message About Role

When the Las Vegas raiders selected Ashton Jeanty with the overall choice n ° 6 in the draft of the 2025 NFL, it was planned that they get a star. Many expected him to be a star from the start to start his career.
These expectations were a bit unreasonable. Each young player can take a while to adapt to professional game.
So far, during his first two games, Jeanty has not been different. It started slow this year for raiders.

Despite slow start, Jeanty remains confident. Las Vegas actively used it, although Pete Carroll does not use it as a battle horse. He still has a lot of work to do to become this kind of player.

During her first two NFL games, Jeanty wore football 30 times for 81 yards and a touchdown, with an average of 2.7 yards per race. He also caught five passes for three yards.
Obviously, this is not what fans expected from the dynamic ball carrier.
After his first two games, Jeanty spoke with a strong message from his role. He clearly does not feel the pressure after starting his recruit season.
“I don’t think you write a guy like me so as not to give me doors and keys. I’m ready for responsibility,” said Jeanty. “As I said, it will start with me in the racing game, and I must continue to improve myself. … There is a learning curve at the NFL for each recruit that enters. I think it is really rare for a guy to come into play and that I have to get better.
Fans frustrated by its slow start are also understandable. Anyone who watched it at Boisse State would expect to see more explosiveness.
Speaking of his university career, his last season led him to be a finalist in the Heisman trophy. He accumulated 2,601 yards and 29 affected on 374 races, which reaches on average seven yards by attempt.

No one should give up Jeanty becoming this kind of player in the NFL. Raiders still have a future star on their hands. Having patience with a young player is the key.
Then Las Vegas and Jeanty will be a match of week 3 against Washington commanders on the road. Hopefully Jeanty will be able to achieve the best performance of his career and helped the Raiders to a victory and a 2-1 file.
