Raleigh Parks & Recreation hosts job fair as summer hiring ramps up

Summer is fast approaching and Raleigh Parks and Recreation is preparing by ramping up its search for seasonal part-time workers.

The department is hosting a job fair from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 19, at John Chavis Memorial Park on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.

Applicants must be at least 16 years old and the city is looking to fill a variety of roles in its parks and recreation facilities. Anyone submitting a job application during the event will have a chance to win a special prize, providing more incentive for job seekers to stop by.

City officials say the warm weather makes it the perfect time for teens, students and anyone looking for flexible work to get involved and help support Raleigh’s busy park system.
