Rams WR Davante Adams has some harsh words about the Eagles' Tush Push play
The Los Angeles Rams will come toe-to-toe with the Tush Push in Week 3 when they face the Philadelphia Eagles. The pivotal play has been the talk of the NFL since teams voted to continue to allow it in 2025, but head coach Sean McVay will speak with the league about uncalled false start penalties.
Rams receiver Davante Adams was also asked about the Tush Push on FanDuel TV’s “Up & Adams” show this week. The veteran said that he used to be impartial about the play, but now he just wants the correct calls to be made after watching highlights and seeing a lot of early movement by the Eagles’ offense.
“I just ask at this point that if they’re going to allow it to be run, then at least police it and make sure guys aren’t getting off the ball,” he said, “because they’re so efficient with it that they already do such a good job that you’ve got to at least make it fair. You can’t have the guards and tackles taking off, you know, spearing down like that early before guys have a chance to get off the ball. Otherwise, you’ll never be able to stop it.”
Adams added that he doesn’t think fans want to see this type of football, either, and that he himself isn’t a fan of how it looks from a pure football play perspective. Ultimately, though, Adams noted that it’s not his call to make.
“I’m just not a big fan of watching it,” Adams added. “It’s just my own personal feeling about it. We’ll see what the league does about it. At least police it and make sure that they’re staying onsides if we’re going to continue to let them do it.”

The conversation around this play reached a boiling point in the offseason when the Eagles lobbied to keep the play legal during the league meetings. It’s remained a staple of their short-yardage play package at the goal line as well as on third- or fourth-and-short.
The Rams will look to prevent the Eagles from executing it in Week 3 while also avenging L.A.’s 2024 NFC Division Round loss.
