Garbage concluded its 2025 tour in Sydney on Sunday, hours after a shooting at Bondi Beach in Australia killed 15 people during a Hanukkah celebration.
The group shared in an Instagram post that “Six members of our own beloved and close family were at Bondi Beach just hours before this horrific incident.”
“Our hearts go out to the victims and their surviving families who are now facing unfathomable loss and grief,” the message read. “We love you so much Sydney. F*** all this vile anti-Semitism. F*** Islamophobia. The killings must stop. It’s senseless and extremely cruel. We must find a way forward. We simply cannot continue to harm each other like this.”
