Fifty years ago, the USA celebrated its bicentennial. That means the country was 200 years old. In 2026, the USA is getting ready for another big event as it turns 250 years old. Believe it or not, there are terms for this like semiquincentennial or quarter millenial. Fifty years ago something else occurred that has not happened since. A college basketball team went undefeated. Bob Knight led Indiana to a 32-0 record and the NCAA championship. Looking back at a team that featured Bobby Wilkerson, Quinn Buckner, Scott May, Tom Abernethy, and Kent Benson on its roster.
