Rep. Ilhan Omar Should Be Thrown ‘The Hell Out’ of U.S.

President Donald Trump suggested that Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) be deported from the United States, referencing allegations that she “supposedly” entered the country by marrying her brother.
“In Somalia, where a member of Congress is everywhere talking about our Constitution to everyone, yet she would have entered our country by marrying her brother,” Trump said. Speaking to reporters on Air Force One. “Well, if that’s true, she shouldn’t be a member of Congress, and we should throw her out of our country.”
When speaking to reporters, Trump also declared that the United States doesn’t need people coming into the country to “tell us what to do.”
Trump’s comments come as Omar and other Democrats have defended Minnesota’s Somali community, despite reports that there is evidence of “widespread fraud on taxpayer health programs.” Trump previously announced he would end the amnesty granted to Somalis under Temporary Protected Status (TPS), following reports of billions of dollars missing.
Breitbart News’ Warner Todd Huston reported that Omar accused Trump of making “unlawful threats” against Somalis:
Unsurprisingly, Ilhan Omar, an American congresswoman from Somalia, expressed her support for her compatriots very clearly.
She also attacked Trump for the “unlawful threats” she said he made against Somalis.
In a post on Truth Social on Thanksgiving, Trump referenced what was happening in Minnesota and criticized both Governor Tim Walz (D-MN) and Omar. Trump described Omar as always “wrapped in her swaddled hijab” and making “nothing but hateful complaints” against the United States.
“Seriously retarded Minnesota Governor Tim Walz is doing nothing, either out of fear or incompetence or both, while our country’s worst ‘Congressman/Woman’, Ilhan Omar, still wrapped in her swaddled hijab and probably entered the United States illegally since you’re not allowed to marry your brother, does nothing but hatefully complain about our country, its Constitution and the way it is ‘badly’ treated, when its place of origin is a decadent, backward and crime-ridden nation, which is not even a country due to lack of government, army, police, schools, etc. ” Trump said.
The Powerline blog reported in February 2020 that the Daily Mail reported that Omar “married her brother and said she ‘would do what she had to do to get him ‘papers’ to keep him in the US,’ Somali community leader reveals”:
Is there anyone in the world who doesn’t know that Ilhan Omar married his brother in 2009? It has been my mission in life to spread the word over the last three and a half years. Today, Martin Gould reports for the Daily Mail: “Ilhan Omar married his brother and said she would ‘do what she had to do to get him ‘papers’ to keep him in the United States,” the Somali community leader reveals. Perhaps word will spread now that this has been reported on the world’s most read English-language news site.
Gould’s story follows his trip to Minneapolis last week and meeting with my original Somali source (who gave me permission to tell). His name is Abdihaikm Osman Nur (Gould gives his name as Abdihakim Osman). I first met him in August 2016 in a public place in downtown Minneapolis. Abdi called me after the publication of my first article on Power Line about Omar, “Ilhan Omar Her back pages”. We were afraid of each other, but we became good friends as I continued to meet him ever since and developed other sources with his help.
The Powerline blog also reported in July 2019 that Omar “entered the United States as a fraudulent member of the ‘Omar’ family”:
In 1995, Ilhan entered the United States as a fraudulent member of the “Omar” family.
It’s not his family. The Omar family is a second unrelated family granted asylum by the United States. The Omars allowed Ilhan, her genetic sister Sahra, and her genetic father Nur Said to use false names to seek asylum as members of the Omar family.
Ilhan’s genetic family split up around this time. The three above were granted asylum in the US, while Ilhan’s three other siblings – using their real names – managed to gain asylum in the UK.
Before seeking asylum, Ilhan Abdullahi Omar’s name was Ilhan Nur Said Elmi.
The outlet then reported that Omar’s “three siblings who” were granted asylum in the UK were Ahmed Nur Said Elmi, Mohamed Nur Said Elmi and Leila Nur Said Elmi. Omar and Ahmed Nur Said Elmi married in 2009 and “didn’t divorce until 2017.”
In September, in an article on Truth Social, Trump criticized Somalia for being “plagued by a lack of central government control, persistent poverty, hunger, resurgent terrorism, piracy, decades of civil war, corruption and pervasive violence.”
Trump also criticized Omar for telling the U.S. government “how to run America” and questioned whether she was “the one who married her brother in order to get citizenship.”
