The sprint to Super Bowl 60 begins on wild-card weekend, and 12 of the NFL’s 14 playoff teams will be put to the test immediately.

After a season of parity and change in the league, it’s no surprise that the wild card round is shaping up to be as chaotic as it’s ever been. The Los Angeles Rams are the only team that can qualify as heavy favorites going into wild-card weekend, at least in the public eye. Five of the six games have narrow point spreads, and a few local teams even enter the weekend as underdogs.
The matchup that gets the most attention could be a battle between the San Francisco 49ers and the defending champion Philadelphia Eagles, who together have won five of the last eight titles and each of the last three NFC titles. A Super Bowl contender’s hopes will be over Sunday night.
In the AFC, Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills will venture on the road to take on the red-hot Jacksonville Jaguars, while all eyes will be on New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye as he attempts to earn his first playoff victory against Justin Herbert and the Los Angeles Chargers.
