The Worst News Outlets of the Week

The positive thing about looking at last week’s media coverage is that there was a refreshing dose of new material that the press got confused about. Even though ICE operations continue in Minnesota, we had at least a few new issues that had the press concerned.
The release of the Melania documentary caused the press to recalibrate the data to make a successful debut a failure. The Winter Olympics were scheduled at full capacity and it was necessary to encourage athletes to criticize the country, thereby allowing the press to criticize those who criticized the athletes’ criticism. The funny thing is that only one side would have the right to criticize under the First Amendment.
The Super Bowl halftime show with Bad Bunny was the subject of media talks. Then, to close out the week, there was all sorts of hysterical outrage over a video released by the president demanding an apology – which wasn’t going to happen. There was plenty to keep the press rolling, so let’s put on our waders and wade through the media swamp last week.
COMPETITORS
CNN– Kasie Hunt was happy to allow Jamie Raskin to say that the SAVE Act threatened women’s right to vote. After touting the cancellation of artistic acts at the Kennedy Center, Brian Stelter criticized the decision to close the Center for two years because artists would be denied work. When discussing the WaPo layoffs, Stelter called for a new delegate to run things, but previously he predicted the demise of Twitter and said the market had made a decision. After months of declaring that ICE agents in Minneapolis were the Gestapo’s citizen killers, the network published an article encouraging two teenage brothers who harassed so-called “Nazis”. Abby Phillip had yet another opportunity to emphasize something that was then immediately refuted by facts.
ABC News – An article from “Good Morning America” on the disappearance of Savannah Guthrie’s mother deleted all mentions of family of faith and prayer. The network released a tearful report on how a father missed his son’s funeral due to his detention by ICE. They complained that the new work requirements for SNAP payments were unfair because people who managed to sign up for benefits would have difficulty filling out the proper paperwork.
New York Times – Peter Baker apparently thinks Jeff Bezos should accept that his newspaper loses $100 million a year because he’s rich. In a sympathetic biography about a self-deported family, the Times buried dozens of paragraphs deep the reality that they had been using stolen identities for years. The Times has been exposed for blaming any weather anomalies on climate change. Jamelle Bouie suggested JD Vance’s mother should have sold him for Percocet when he was a child.
THE WINNER

WASHINGTON POST
The newspaper announces the scale of the expected layoffs, and it was serious. A third of the staff was cut, including the athletic department, book reviews, all staff photographers and a number of foreign offices.
Then, immediately afterward, the mainstream press was even more outraged when CEO Will Lewis abruptly resigned.
A former postal worker showed that Bezos was doing exactly what many were complaining about, and generously spent on newspaper operations.
As the layoffs took effect, the newspaper seemed determined to show why the layoffs were valid. Removing the sports section proved wise.
It has been claimed that climate change made the organization of the Winter Olympics more difficult.
While claiming the paper had gone MAGA, there was a report that an Olympic skater nearly missed an event. because of JD Vance’s motorcade.
The music correspondent saw the activist’s post at the Grammy Awards and said it’s rare to see celebrities getting political at a ceremony.
In his report on the bio-laboratory discovered in Las Vegas, there was no mention of ties to the Chinese government.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said the layoffs at the Post were a loss for what she called “our media.”
When Jeff Bezos bought WaPo, he immediately took over the reviews section. Now it’s laying off hundreds of journalists, including those who cover Amazon.
This is not a coincidence. This is the result of billionaires with specific political agendas taking over our media.
