Democrats Shut Down Government for ‘Purely Political Purposes’

Democrats have closed the government to “purely political ends,” said interior secretary Doug Burgum, during an appearance on Breitbart News Daily.

Burgum began by explaining that President Donald Trump is resistant to the “crazy partisanry of the Democratic leadership” which chose to “close the government for purely political purposes”.

“As you know, and your listeners know it … The Chamber has already adopted a bill saying that we will continue to take place exactly as it is at the moment,” he said, stressing that the Republicans have presented a clean bill to move forward.

“And this is the simplest thing in the world so that they simply accept this, then everything goes ahead,” he said, explaining that the Democrats “try to use the disturbance of services for political purposes”.

“President Trump says no – no agreement on this subject. But what we do to try to minimize the impact of this democratic closure on citizens is to use all the tools we have in our toolbox to do things like keeping all the national parks open,” said Burgum, adding that it is not an easy feat, because they are not allowed to use allowed funding.

“We therefore take money from leisure fees and entry fees, using this to ensure that the essential services are open. The shopping center is therefore open. Parks [are] open. We are fighting to keep as many open things as possible. But, you know, it’s a huge and enormous distraction, “said Burgum.
