Iran has released a chilling new video threatening a US military base. The harrowing clip, apparently generated by AI, was published by Iranian state media and appears to identify the Muwaffaq Salti base, located in Jordan, for destruction.

The video shows an aerial view of the base with Iranian missiles targeting F-35 stealth jets, Boeing KC-135 tankers and MQ-9 Reaper drones. U.S. officials recently announced they would move hundreds of people to a major military base in Qatar in preparation for a possible strike.

It comes as the two countries continue to hold negotiations over Tehran’s nuclear program and Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has warned that his country “will not lower its head.” Meanwhile, the United States has recently assembled a significant military posture in the Middle East, including aircraft carriers and fighter jets.

This is not the first time Iran has appeared to target US bases in the Middle East. On February 12, the Al-Alam news channel, owned by the Islamic state media company Republic of Iran Broadcasting, shared a video on X indicating the US military base in the village of Eskan in Saudi Arabia as a monitored target.

Trump has also made clear he is still considering U.S. strikes against Iran, recently issuing a 10-day warning.

If a deal is not reached on nuclear weapons, “bad things” will happen, President Trump said at the first Peace Council meeting in Washington. He said: “We may or may not have to go further. Maybe we’ll make a deal. You’ll probably find out over the next 10 days.” The aircraft carrier USS Gerald R Ford is currently in the Mediterranean Sea and has recently moved other military assets to the Middle East.

This is not the first threat Iran has made against the United States. Tehran already threatened to strike US troops in the Middle East earlier this month, as fears of war between Tehran and Washington grow.

Most recently, on Tuesday, Iranian leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei threatened to sink American ships, saying Tehran has weapons capable of sending American ships “to the bottom of the sea.” According to U.S. defense assessments by the Center for Strategic and International Studies, Tehran has invested heavily in coastal missiles, naval mines and fast attack craft designed to threaten ships operating near its shores.
