Rangers’ Jacob deGrom shines in return, Mets’ losing streak hits 7

Too often throughout the nine years of nine years of Jacob Degrom nine years, the dishes struggled to give him support.
This is the main reason why degrom only totaled 20 victories during its consecutive seasons in Cy Young in 2018-2019.
But the support of the race was not a problem on Friday evening for Degrom, now Texas Rangers, in his long -awaited return to Citi Field.
The Texas scored the starter recruited Jonah Tong for six points in the first round, then let degrom do the rest to deal with the food of 8-3.
The dishes (76-72) have now lost seven games in a row, equaling a dubious seasonal summit, while they hang on the third and last point of joker in the national league.
Degrom granted three points in seven rounds and recorded two stick withdrawals against the dishes, with whom he made his MLB debut in 2014.
Friday evening’s match has marked the first time in Degrom against the dishes since his departure for a $ 185 million contract over five years with the Rangers before the 2023 season.
His return came with an additional plot, since the former Ace of the dishes was accompanied against Tong, 22, one of their prospects, in the third beginning of his career.
But a duel of multigenerational launchers was not in the cards, while Tong published three goals on balls, gave up four strokes and recorded only two withdrawals at the top of the first before being fired.
The Rangers were ultra-pasta against Tong, taking 18 of his first throws and finally ending nine times while he was in the match.
Four of these swings turned into a marking tubes, with Josh Jung and Alejandro Osuna delivering in simple RBI, Cody Freeman adding a single two points, and Michael Helman ending the Tong evening with a double of two points.
Tong launched only 20 of his 40 throws for strikes.
Much within a crowd of 41,040 droep while the game collapsed.
Tong, which led the minor leagues at the time (1.43) and the stick withdrawals (179) before the call last month, fell to 1-2 with an 8.49 MPM in three Grande League departures.
An advance from 6-0 to Citi Field was an unusual spectacle with degrom on the mound, since the right-hander launching the flames received two support points or less in 66 of its 209 departures (31.6%) in his Mets career.
Degrom only needed six locations to pass the first round and nine others to pass the second.
He abandoned three points in the third – Francisco Alvarez dominated, while Juan Soto and Pete Alonso added consecutive sacrifice flies – but withdrew the last 15 strikers he faced.
Make one of these withdrawals was Jeff McNeil, who was ejected into the fourth round after launching his bat and shouted in response to a third called strike which simply seemed to cut the bottom of the area.
The last four rounds were vintage degrom, including the era 2.52 and 1.00 whips with the dishes remain the best brands in the history of the franchise.
The dishes recognized degrom with a video of pre-match homage, and he tipped his cap into an enthusiastic crowd while he warmed up on the ground.
Tommy John Surgery Limited Degrom to only nine departures with the Rangers of 2023-24, but he returned to his elite form this year, improving Friday at 12-7 with an MPM of 2.82.
This is the third time this season that the dishes have lost seven games in a row. It is the first time since 1980 that the food has undergone three skates separated from seven games in a single year. The dishes finished 67-95 in 1980.
The dishes entered Friday with an advance of 1.5 match on the giants of Cincinnati Reds and San Francisco for the last place of NL Wild Card. Neither the Reds nor the giants had started their matches on Friday when the dishes of the dishes ended.
A day after the last 25 dishes of the dishes came out to finish the defeat of 6-4 Thursday in Philadelphia, 21 of the last 22 drippers of the food came out to finish the defeat on Friday.
The dishes will turn to another starter recruited to Brandon SPROAT on Saturday afternoon as they try to end their sequence of defeats. It will be the second start of MLB for SPROAT, which granted three points in six rounds in the start of last weekend in Cincinnati.
The Rangers are ready to counter with the veteran Gaucher Patrick Corbin (7-9, 4.36 ERA).
