Viral video shows ICE agent calling out interference during Minnesota arrest

A viral video circulating on social media Sunday appears to show agitators interfering with an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operation targeting an alleged child sex offender in Minnesota.

“We’re here to arrest a child sex offender and you’re out here honking your horn,” the officer says in the video.

“No, we’re the press,” someone responds off-camera. “We don’t honk.”

The officer then points to a nearby vehicle.

“That vehicle right there is honking its horn and hindering our investigations while we’re trying to arrest a child sex offender. He’s the one you’re protecting. It’s crazy.”

The video then shows the officer standing in the snow next to a vehicle honking its horn repeatedly.

“Trust me, I understand,” the officer said to someone inside the car before honking the horn.

At another point, the officer is seen speaking with the occupants of another vehicle who appear to question the legitimacy of the arrest and attempt to scare him away.

At one point, a woman standing behind the officer’s vehicle can be heard saying, “Go ahead.” They lie. Don’t listen to them,” while moving the car forward.

In response to the X video, Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Deputy Secretary Tricia McLaughlin on Sunday praised federal law enforcement officers for continuing their work amid growing resistance.

“May God bless the men and women of [ICE] And [Customs and Border Protection] who risk their lives to stop these criminals,” McLaughlin wrote.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt also weighed in, posting “God Bless ICE” – a message that was later reposted by the official White House X account.

Elon Musk also reacted to the video by simply writing, “Crazy.”

The incident comes amid growing tensions between federal authorities and Twin Cities agitators. Earlier this month, Renee Nicole Good, 37, was fatally shot on Jan. 7 by an ICE agent when she allegedly blocked an immigration operation in the city and walked toward the agent.

Twin Cities agitators followed and harassed federal agents as they conducted their operations, some throwing snowballs at agents or shouting obscenities through bullhorns just feet away.

Some clashes led immigration officers to use pepper spray and tear gas.

President Donald Trump’s administration is preparing 1,500 troops for possible deployment to Minnesota, a senior U.S. official confirmed to Fox News Digital.
