Salena Zito Drops Huge Bomb After Her Book ‘Butler’ Becomes NYT Best Seller – RedState
On Wednesday, American journalist / author Salena Zito shared huge news that her book on the assassination of President Donald Trump in 2024 in Butler, Pennsylvania, was transformed into a film.
Speaking on the podcast of “The Sean Spicer Show”, the host, the republican strategist Sean Spicer, asked Zito about the success of his new book “Butler: The Untold Story of the Netter Assassination of Donald Trump and the Fight for America’s Heartland”.
Zito was at Trump’s rally that day, a few steps from the scene where Trump was held before shots were tested after the alleged shooter Thomas Crooks pulled several bullets on the president, killing the firefighter Corey Comperatore, leaving Trump with a bloody ear injury after turning his head for a few moments.

“I guess I should tell you this Sean, because many people know it, but ‘Butler’ is in production as a film,” Zito told the host, who looked really shocked.
When asked who would play the author, she said everyone said to her actress Marisa Tomei would be an excellent choice.
“There was a production company called Penzee, and they just asked to see an early copy of the book,” Salena told the host. “They were interested. They thought it was a truly pivotal moment in history. They read the book and became crazy.”

“And they optionized it as a film,” she added, noting that President Trump was not yet aware of this news at the time of the interview.

Zito’s book was released on July 8 and has already become a bestseller from the New York Times.
