The New York Jets lost 34-32 against Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday. Despite a strong performance by Justin Fields, the team could not avoid starting season 0-1.
Upon the season, there were doubts about Fields’ ability to carry out a productive offense after early difficulties in his career. He played better last season with the Steelers, but ended up with the jets this season.
Fields went 16 for 22 with 218 yards by the pass and a passing touch. He also had 12 races for 48 yards and two affected on the ground. The jet offensive relied on the racing game, using one of the best attributes of Fields.

The jets may not have scored enough to win the match, but Fields made a statement on his attack after the match, reassuring the fans they can be excellent unit.
“They acquired all of these guys during the offseason, the future temple of fame on the (defensive) side of the ball,” said Fields after the match, according to Connor Hughes de Sny. “And we set up 32.”
Steelers’ defense includes TJ Watt, Jalen Ramsey, Cameron Heyward and Darius Slay. The jets were able to display 394 yards in total on the defense of the Steelers.
Despite the defeat, Fields gave fans of jets a lot of hope to move forward. The defense of the jets could not keep the steelers out of the goal area on Sunday, but he will try to make adjustments to give his offense more space for error.
The beginnings of Fields with the jets were at least encouraging, but it will have to maintain a strong production throughout the season to bring the jets into the playoffs. However, he seems confident in his offense, even if the jets started the year with a loss.
