Body found in Turks and Caicos identified as that of missing New York man

A body found in the Turks and Caicos more than a week ago was identified as that of missing New York Brian Patrick Tarrence, officials announced.

The body was found on July 5 in the Grace Bay region and identified as a medical-legal dental analysis, the Royal Turkish and CAICOS islands said on Thursday.

There was no sign of trauma on the body, according to an autopsy, and there is no suspicion of unfair play, the police said. Autopsy and final toxicology reports are pending to complete the investigation.

Tarrence, a 51 -year -old New York resident, was on vacation with his wife in Providencial and was missing on June 25.

He was seen for the last time at the INN Paradise near Grace Bay Beach, and security images showed him leaving his condo around 4 am that day and heading for the city.

Carl Defazio, a private investigator hired by the family, that NBC confirmed with his wife, said that night had disappeared, his wife had laid down early.

Tarrence was standing late to watch TV, according to Defazio, before leaving from the end of the evening with her phone – but not her passport.

The Ministry of Tourism and Turkish Experience and Caicos said that in -depth efforts have been made to locate it, including ground research, drone surveillance and video surveillance images, as well as the efforts of local residents and volunteers. The body was found following a coordinated research operation led by the local police.

“The authorities have indicated that there is no evidence of suspicious circumstances surrounding the disappearance or death of Mr. Tarrence,” he said, noting that the agency is in contact with the Tarrence family.
