Schumer’s ‘Open Mouth, Insert Foot’ Moment as Dems’ Hypocrisy Hits Hyper Drive on Venezuela – RedState

Democrats have gone berserk over President Donald Trump’s actions in Venezuela to capture and arrest dictator Nicolás Maduro, who is wanted in the United States and indicted for five years.
We saw Democrats calling it illegal and claiming that Trump needed Congressional approval to proceed with Maduro’s arrest. Their hypocrisy is something else, considering the actions taken in the past by Democrats like Barack Obama.

Do they remember how many civilians Barack Obama allegedly killed in foreign countries with his drone actions, leading some to call him Droner-in-Chief?
Obama embraced the U.S. drone program, overseeing more strikes in his first year than Bush carried out during his entire presidency. A total of 563 strikes, largely carried out by drones, targeted Pakistan, Somalia and Yemen during Obama’s two terms, compared to 57 strikes under Bush. Between 384 and 807 civilians were killed in these countries, according to reports recorded by the Office.
Do they remember Obama’s actions in Libya that lasted for months without congressional approval? They even asked ABC to question its actions. Can anyone forget this?
Obama and Clinton did not seek congressional authorization to wage an eight-month war in Libya.
“We came, we saw, he died,” they cackled as they violated the War Powers Resolution.

“We came, we saw, he died,” Secretary of State Hillary Clinton laughed.
Imagine the hypocrisy it takes to criticize Trump, after these kinds of actions from a Democrat.
But perhaps the Democrat who put his foot in his mouth the most was Senator Chuck Schumer (D-New York), who was furious that he had not been informed before the action.
Schumer: I was at SCIF three times, as recently as December, and I asked the administration: Are you pursuing regime change? Do you intend to take military action in Venezuela? Venezuelan territory? And they assured me that they were not pursuing them…

Schumer: I was at SCIF three times as recently as December, and I asked the administration: Are you pursuing regime change? Do you intend to take military action in Venezuela? Venezuelan territory? And they assured me that they were not pursuing these things. Clearly, they are not being honest with the American people.
Wait, what, Chuck? What did you just say? Did he just talk about what was said in the SCIF?
And you wonder why we didn’t tell you? It was extremely important for operational security to be able to achieve that, to keep that close at hand. And if you’re talking about what was said in the SCIF, there’s a problem.
People immediately denounced him.
Nothing tells you to take national security seriously like going public with conversations you say you had in a SCIF. https://t.co/LDFR7Q95fE

Democrats are not only incredibly hypocritical, but they have no position to stand on.
