Tiffany Mitchell found a new house in Seattle. The 30 -year -old WNBA veteran, who spent most of his career with Indiana fever – before relays with Minnesota Lynx, Connecticut Sun and Las Vegas Aces – signed a rest contract with The Storm.

Mitchell started the year with the AS, appearing in 16 games, but was canceled at the end of last month when the AS exchanged for Nalyssa Smith of the Dallas. Now, less than two weeks after his release by Las Vegas, the former Gamecock star joined another team of veterans with championship aspirations.

During her 10 -year WNBA career, Mitchell has an average of 8.6 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game. She spent last season with the sun, but her season was interrupted when diagnosed with a fatal infection.

The Storm (12-8) currently has the fifth best record in the league, but has relied heavily on their starting alignment. Seattle is one of the two WNBA teams with three All-Stars; Skylar Diggins, Gabby Williams and Nneka Ogwumike will all be represented in next year’s match.

Diggins led the storm in points and assists, totaling 18.5 points and 6 assists per game, while Ogwumike collected 17 points and 8 rebounds per game this season. Williams is in the middle of the best season of his career, with an average of 13.8 points, 4.8 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 2.6 interceptions per game. The veteran goalkeeper Erica Wheeler and the defensive center Ezi Magbegor complete the departure training.

Outside the bench, Alysha Clark, Zia Cooke and Dominique Malonga obtained most of the minutes. Mitchell will strengthen this rotation and provide another goalkeeper who can attenuate part of the burden of Diggins and Wheeler. Mitchell appeared in 282 career games, the majority of which left the bench, and should be well integrated into such a veteran team.
