Second Anti-ICE Agitator Cuffed After ‘High-Speed Pursuit’ Amid ‘Charlotte’s Web’ Mission – RedState

Things have been pretty intense in Charlotte, North Carolina, over the past week after reports circulated that the next immigration enforcement mission on the DHS schedule would be centered in the Queen City and surrounding areas.
This operation, called “Charlotte’s Web”, began on Saturday, with 81 arrests made on the first day, and that number increased to around 130 by midday Monday.
As RedState reported earlier, one of those arrests involved a 24-year-old man who Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) Commander-in-Chief Gregory Bovino said was a U.S. citizen who has since been charged with a felony related to allegedly assaulting and obstructing a federal officer with a white pickup truck used to target law enforcement and flee, injuring an officer in the process and endangering numerous other citizens who were on the road in the area of University of Charlotte on Sunday.

And on Monday, another self-described anti-ICE agitator was handcuffed after what Bovino called a “high-speed chase” that began at a gas station in the University area:
At the end of a cul-de-sac at 7736 Newell View Ln., just eight minutes from campus, was an individual handcuffed and sitting upright against his car, surrounded by six large SUV vehicles and about two dozen officers.
Information on whether the individual’s identity and exact charges were not provided.
“This individual assaulted a federal agent at a gas station approximately a mile away, then engaged the agents in a high-speed chase, without yielding to lights and sirens. [They] “I drove down this dead end, stopped, and then I got arrested,” Bovino said at the scene of the arrest.
DHS shared more details about X:
Today, Border Patrol agents in Charlotte were confronted with another vehicle being struck while in a parking lot.
Officers were preparing for an operation when a car jumped a curb into the parking lot and sped toward officers. The driver was warned to stop and back up. The driver then drove the vehicle out of the parking lot and waited to attempt to box the Border Patrol. As officers went to confront the driver, the car struck a law enforcement vehicle and fled the scene.
Officers pursued the attacker, eventually stopping the car at a dead end where the driver was arrested.
Ali Bradley, a NewsNation reporter, also revealed what she witnessed:
#BREAKING We saw @CMDROpAtLargeCA and her team get attacked in Charlotte while they were at a gas station getting snacks and going to the bathroom.
A self-described anti-ICE activist jumped a curb, ran into the parking lot and drove aggressively at the agents. The officers warned the individual: they then tried to lock them up to prevent them from leaving. Officers issued another warning. The individual then backed into a government vehicle and then took the lead agents on a high-speed chase for approximately a mile.
The individual, believed to be a U.S. citizen, was arrested for assault on a federal officer, but has denied any wrongdoing.

I know this part of town well and, in fact, caught the line of officers wrapping Newell View Lane while I was out running errands on Monday.
As was the case with Sunday’s suspect, this one also (allegedly) endangered countless lives, as the route discussed in news reports likely took Monday’s suspect from that gas station (presumably the one at Sandy Ave. and N. Tryon St.) directly through several residential areas and past an elementary school on the same road (Rocky River Rd. West) before ending up at this dead end.
Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. Thank goodness no one was seriously injured.
Editor’s note: Democratic politicians and their radical supporters will do everything they can to interfere with and threaten ICE agents who enforce our immigration laws.
