The security forces stop 90 suspects of terrorism sought throughout the West Bank
The security forces arrested 90 suspects of terrorism sought in the West Bank in the last week as part of the current effort to prevent terrorism on Palestinian territory, the FDI said.
Among the arrested terrorists were two key Tobas and Jenin key terrorists. During operations, troops seized weapons, including rifles, pistols and explosives, as well as tens of thousands of shekels intended for terrorist activity.
“As in all sectors, we do not wait; we prevent a threat before growing. Terrorism strikes precisely where you are not prepared, and therefore we adapt the precise operational response to each sector,” said Zamir.
“The activity in the refugee camps is deepened and important – you uproot the roots of terrorism and you assure that it cannot resume.
“Today, there is no room in Judea and Samaria that cannot be reached; we are everywhere, at the right time, to prevent attacks and continue to allow freedom of operational action,” he continued.
Zamir did the field tour with the central command, the Operations Directorate and the commander of the West Bank Division.
During the tour, Zamir spoke with soldiers and commanders of the Paratroopers brigade, expressing his appreciation for their work in securing the region. “Your contribution is essential to maintain the safety of residents,” said Zamir.
“The campaign is underway and we expand operations in Gaza,” added Zamir, without providing more details on the operation.
