Hegseth’s “Urgent” Military Meeting Is for Dumbest Reason Imaginable

The great military summit of Pete Hegseth will just be a “rally of pep” for what he calls “pharmacy. “”
Earlier this week, the defense secretary ordered a mass rally of each senior military official – a group of admirals and generals who could total more than 1,000 – in Quantico, Virginia. Rumors swirled over reason. Some have said a mass shot, others said a fitness test. But the meeting, which should take place next week, will in fact only be an opportunity for Hegseth to make pompous size on “Warrior Ethics” which has been so obsessed for years, CNN reported Friday.
“It is a question of bringing the horses into the stable and whipping them in shape,” said an anonymous defense manager at the point of sale. “And the guys with the stars on their shoulders make better audience from the point of view of the optics. This is a showcase so that Hegseth tells them: get on board, or potentially make your career shorten.”
The announcement of the meeting was sudden and ambiguous and will remove these senior military leaders from their previous assignments.
Hegesth’s “Warrior pharmacy” depends on its conviction that soldiers are too awake. He should use Tuesday’s meeting to review new fitness and grooming standards for officers.
“Yes, the value of the cost, time and efforts to keep hundreds of people from their orders to listen to Hegseth and his deep thoughts about being a warrior”, Tom Nichols wrote.
Hegseth plans to record his speech and release later.
