See ‘Santa Claus’ get pulled over for speeding through Ohio
Ohio police let an apparently armed “Santa” get away with stopping a speeding Ford Escape driven by a motorist with a white beard and red suit.
The Fulton County Sheriff’s Office in Ohio released body camera video of a deputy conducting a traffic stop that began with the driver warning that he had a concealed weapon permit. “Mrs. Claus” appeared to be in the passenger seat next to Kris Kringle.
“Santa has a CCW?” the officer laughs. “Times are tough!” »
Police said on Facebook that the driver – who also had a disabled parking permit attached to his rear-view mirror – got away with a warning.
“Ho ho *wait!* 🎅🚓 Santa and Mrs. Claus were spotted flying a little too fast through Fulton County,” officers wrote of the stop Saturday evening. “No coal was handed out, just a friendly reminder that even sleighs have to slow down. Christmas is still on schedule! 🎄✨ Stay safe and have a great holiday!”
The unidentified driver said he was dressed as St. Nick to go to his daughter’s office, which is in the area. The officer warned the man dressed as Santa to slow down because there were deer in the area and the driver was going more than 55 mph.
The cop and the Clauses seemed to find the meeting joyful.
