The design of the Nothing Phone 3 stands out definitively.

Just the phones have always seemed a little different from the others, returning to the original 2022, with its futuristic styles and its enlightening glyphs on the rear case. With its new telephone products 3 and headphones 1, nothing grows even more in alternative aesthetics – at a time when most smartphones look almost similar, you certainly do not confuse them with the devices of another business.

The Nothing Phone 3 has a “confusing” design

First of all, the Nothing 3 phone, according to the mid -range 3A phone and the 3A Pro phone launched earlier this year. The rear case looks like a sliding block puzzle, with indices of the Google Modular modular phone project. The three 50MP rear cameras and a flash are on four of these blocks, with what nothing calls a glyph matrix in the upper right corner.

This small monochrome display can show a certain number of different information, including notifications, and even be used to play simple games (including rock, paper, scissors). It can also work as a simple viewfinder, to make sure you have everyone in the frame before touching the trigger.

You can get the phone in white or black. One at the front, you have a 6.67 -inch OLED screen operating at a 120 Hz cooling rate and with a resolution of 2,800 x 1260 pixels. The handset provides IP68 water and dust protection, and the cameras are rounded by a 50 MP selfie camera at the front.

And what about the interior? The phone 3 runs a Snapdragon 8S Gen 4 processor from Qualcomm, matching 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage, or 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. There is a 5,150 mAh battery here (against 4,700mAh on the telephone number 2), with wireless charging rates 65 W and 15 W.

The software tasks are managed by Nothing OS 3.5, which is based on Android 15. We expect a fairly major update with nothing OS 4.0 (based on Android 16) in the near future, however: the upgrade is due before the end of September, and nothing from the CEO, Carl Pei, has hinted several indices that the major AI features are in driving.

As we speculated last month, the price could be a difficult sale: the Nothing phone (3) starts at $ 799 for the 12 GB / 256 GB model, you pay as much as for a Google Pixel 9, an iPhone 16, or a Samsung Galaxy S25, which is a difficult competition. Opt for the 16 GB / 512 GB version, and this price rises to $ 899.

It is a flagship pricing for non-affect level specifications: telephone 3 does not use the last Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, like the Galaxy S25, for example. However, unusual looks and the original characteristics of the handset can make it attractive enough for a large set of people – and it certainly has enough power for the most part.

What do you think so far?

The handset will be available for purchase on July 15.

Nothing has also launched its first over-ear listener, the Nothone 1 helmet (using the singular shape in the name). Again, you can see a reluctance to follow conventional thought with regard to design: passers -by will certainly be able to say that you do not wear a standard cans on your head when you get them.

Developed in partnership with Kef audio experts, the headphones have 40 mm drivers and provide with them an active noise (ANC) cancellation, a mode of transparency and the spatial audio with the head follow -up (therefore the sounds coming from supported sources will move when you move your head). Nothing says you will get up to 35 hours of battery life with ANC.

The Nothone 1 helmet also features a range of physical and wireless Bluetooth, USB-C and wireless Bluetooth buttons. As for the Nothing 3 phone, your colors are black or white, and they will cost you $ 299. They also made their debut on July 15.
