Selena Gomez’s Wedding Sandals Are the New Go-to Shoe for Special Occasions

In case you missed him, Selena Gomez married Benny Blanco yesterday in Santa Barbara, California. It was one of the most anticipated weddings of the year and, fortunately, the couple already shared several photos of their big day.
On September 28, Gomez shared a photo of his first wedding dress (yes, there were two), a personalized creation by Ralph Lauren. Later, Blanco shared some photos of her own photos on Instagram, including the first overview of the public in the bride’s second dress.
The second dress seems to be a pure lace version of the first, with a Licou neckline that Gomez styled with his voluminous tulle sail. In legend, Blanco wrote: “I married a real Disney princess.” During the publication, the message has 5.3 million likes (and to count).
From his wedding glam to his manicure, we are so obsessed with style. But what we are gathered here today to discuss are the shoes that accompany this second look. The most classic option for a bride is generally a stiletto, but Gomez opted for cage sandals, an increasing trend not only for brides, but also for daily life.
Cage sandals are characterized by trellis shaped straps, in particular the designing toe. The Gomez pair brought to her marriage to a Peep-Toe style toe and an ankle strap. (Of course, the 33 -year -old man went with a white pair.)
This style is the perfect turn of the minimalist strip sandal typical of the 90s. The cage feels a little retro, like those worn in the 1950s (at the time, with a much lower heel) or the T -poet sandals that are preferred by the Broadway dancers.
More details of Selena Gomez’s wedding will probably continue to emerge in the coming days, answering important questions like, what were the bridesmaids? (And who were they?) In the meantime, here is a selection of cage sandals that will convince you to wear this trend for the autumn wedding season and beyond.
