Three dead, more than 70 injured in Algeria stadium fall

Three spectators died and more than 70 others were injured after falling from the upper stand of a stadium after the second consecutive victory of the MC Algiers algère title, the Algerian Ministry of Health said on Sunday.

“The Beni Messous University Hospital received 38 people injured, while three deaths were recorded,” the Algerian Health Ministry said in a statement via Facebook, adding: “Ben Aknoun hospital also received 27 people injured, while Bab El oused Hospital received 16 years.”

Algerian president Abdelmadjid Tebboune offered his condolences and wanted rapid recovery for the injured.

“It is with great sadness and sadness and with hearts that we received the news from our supporter Younes Amgugzzi, who died after falling from the upper stands,” said Mc Algiers earlier in an Instagram post.

The club has not yet commented on other deaths.
