Two police officers injured during Haredi protests against draft dodger arrests
Two suspects were reportedly arrested and questioned.
Two police officers were injured during ongoing ultra-Orthodox protests against the arrest of draft evaders that took place Sunday evening on Bar-Ilan Street in Jerusalem, Israeli police said.
Hundreds of protesters blocked traffic, endangered pedestrians, set trash cans on fire and “threw rocks and other objects at police officers,” according to the statement.
Israeli police used crowd control measures to restore order in the neighborhood, and two suspects were arrested and questioned.
Israeli forces and border police are currently remaining on site to maintain order and restore traffic.

Previous ultra-Orthodox protests in Jerusalem and Beit Shemesh
Dozens of people gathered around the presidential residence in Jerusalem last week, calling on President Isaac Herzog to grant clemency to around 25 Jewish national prisoners, following the release of thousands of terrorists in accordance with the Gaza peace deal.
The demonstration led to clashes and roadblocks in the region, as well as the arrest of four demonstrators for disturbing public order.
Similar protests took place in Beit Shemesh, Israeli police confirmed.
