Seriously committed to weight training | Fitness

When you give advice on the protein-related protein intake, the performance nutritionist Bethan Crouse says: “If you are only an occasional gymnasium making resistance training three to four times a week” is it true that … you should eat proteins immediately after training?, September 1). I was surprised that this training was described as relaxed. I suggest that the 99.9% of non-elite humans would consider this level of regular commitment, would I dare to say still serious.

It is clear that Richard Tice does not believe in freedom of expression or understands the Christian Gospel, because he thinks that the Archbishop of York should not “interfere with international migration policies” (Richard Tice dates back to C of E Criticism of Reformation Policy, August 31). Does he plan to tell Christians the questions on which we are now authorized to express opinions?

There is no justification for piloting Adam Zampa from Australia to deliver 20 balls in the hundred final at Lord’s (Report, August 31). What a sad indictment of our cricket position that we must pilot someone at the other end of the world for such a ridiculous contribution to a major home tournament.

Returning from V&A, I was surprised to read that, according to two researchers, there was no place such as Palestine at the beginning of the 20th century (letters, August 28). This would have surprised my grandfather, who sent beautiful gifts and postcards made locally to my grandmother in 1918, giving his address in Palestine. He died too young and I have never met him, but I think he could be horrified by current attempts to eradicate this country, and even his history.
