A seventh US service member has been killed in the US and Israeli war on Iran, according to an official statement on Sunday.
A member of the armed forces succumbed to injuries sustained during Iran’s initial attacks, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) said in the statement.
The service member was reportedly seriously injured in an attack on US soldiers last Sunday in Saudi Arabia.
The announcement came a day after US President Donald Trump attended the repatriation of the six soldiers killed in the Iran war. He travelled to Dover Air Force Base in the state of Delaware for Saturday’s ceremony.
The six soldiers were killed in a drone attack in Kuwait during the first days of the war, US sources said.
