Hezbollah marks one year since Israel killed then-chief Nasrallah

The Hezbollah Saturday will commemorate a year since his then chief, Hassan Nasrallah, was killed by Israel, the salvo to open a war which finally defeated its once powerful group and left the sides of Lebanon in ruins.

With his fiery speeches, he quickly became the public face of a formerly shaded group founded by the Iranian revolution guards in 1982 to fight the Israeli forces.
Fight against the Jewish state
He was at the helm when the hezbollah guerrillas led the Israeli forces in southern Lebanon in 2000, ending an 18 -year -old occupation, and declared a “divine victory” after the group led 34 days of war with Israel in 2006, winning respect for many Arabs who grew up watching Israel defeat their armies.
While her group became the most influential political and military force in Lebanon, she also developed a regional lance role of Iran’s “resistance axis” – fighting in Syria on behalf of Assad and causing Houthis in Yemen.

More than 4,000 people were finally killed in the military assault of Israel, including more than 300 children. Despite a truce, Israel continues to perform deadly strikes in Lebanon.
The air and land campaign of Israel prevented an official burial for Nasrallah for months. The followers, including his son, have since flocked to his grave to pray.
The crowds should come together in the bastions of Hezbollah in the southern suburbs of Beirut, in the south and east of Lebanon. The secretary general of the group, Naim Qassem, who took more than a month after the murder of Nasrallah, will do an address.
Tensions about commemoration were shown this week, especially after Hezbollah has planned the portraits of Nasrallah and Safieddine on the famous imposing rocks off the coast of Beirut.
The display continued, despite the orders of Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam and the governor of Beirut not to do so, angry with Lebanese opponents of Hezbollah who said that the cliffs should not be used for political exhibitions.
