Shooting in Chicago wounds multiple people, police say

Chicago – Four people died of ball injury and 14 others were hospitalized following a car shooting in Chicago, police announced on Thursday. At least three were in critical condition.

The shooting occurred Wednesday evening in the Chicago River North district. Several media said that this had happened outside a restaurant and a show that had organized an album release evening for a rapper.

Someone opened fire in a standing crowd outside, the police said, and the vehicle was immediately left.

No one was in detention, police said.

Chris King, spokesperson for Northwestern Medicine, said the emergency department assessed several people injured during the shooting. He could not provide the number of people sent to the hospital or on their conditions.
