The Texas authorities are on the scene of a deadly shooting on Wednesday morning in an immigration and customs detention center in Dallas.
Dozens of vehicles responsible for the application of laws responded to the scene just before 7 a.m. along a highly frequented highway. The Dallas police department said that the initial report concerned an “call to help the officer”. According to a position on X, “a suspect opened fire in a government building in an adjacent building. Two people were transported to hospital with ball injury. A victim died on the scene. The suspect died.”
In an article on X, Kristi Noem, the secretary of the Department of Internal Security, said: “Details are still emerging, but we can confirm that there have been several injuries and deaths. The shooter died by an injury by a self-inflicting weapon.”
Noem said that a reason is not known and that “ice forces are faced with unprecedented violence against them”.
