Singer Gladys Knight refutes son’s mental abuse accusations against husband

Gladys Knight denied saying that his son had done on the status of his well-being.
The son of “midnight train in Georgia”, Shanga Hankerson, accused Knight’s husband, William McDowell, of mental and financial abuse, and told People magazine that he had filed a complaint with the authorities in North Carolina.

“Gladys and his team are very saddened by the unsolved allegations of Shanga, especially since he had no substantial contact with her,” said Laura Herlovich. “She has not been on tour since June 1 and is looking forward to starting touring in September.”
Herlovich added: “At that time, our lawyers have no choice but to explore all legal appeals due to the defamatory comments of Shanga.”
